BATT – Bat Acoustic Trend Tracking Project

BATT is a long term passive acoustic monitoring project using Chelonia BatBug acoustic loggers. This project was proposed by Chelonia Limited and supported by RDUK. The Cornwall Wildlife Trust is fronting the initial Cornish part of the project and Isles of Scilly Wildlife Trust are monitoring the deployments on the islands.

An important part of BATT is local engagement, the BatBugs donated by Chelonia are given to local Conservation Groups who then work with the local community to find a site that will be serviceable every few months and capable of continuous monitoring for three or more years.
